Did he live or die? Will he be brought to justice or escape with a final gasp despite the best work of DSI Stella Gibson?
It's all about Paul Spector this December as the talented Jamie Dornan stalks Belfast in character as filming for The Fall picks up pace.
And this week he has been in the east of the city, in a school that has lain empty for 18 months.
The activity around Orangefield High School on Cameronian Drive, has created new life in the area with a huge camera crew, a busy scene painting team, producers, directors and now cast including of course the fabulous Mr D.
Secrecy has been vital to success for filming this week as the fans of the show have been teased on Twitter with snippets of story line and the odd picture.
And until today they have managed to keep their work under wraps despite having gaggles of Grosvenor Grammar School girls playing hockey on pitches just 100 metres away.
So here's what we can tell you...
- Orangefield High School is being refurbished as a hospital,
- Corridors and rooms are being painted to replicate an emergency department,
- Props include hospital beds, chairs and heart monitors,
- An emergency entrance has been mocked up outside the building, and
- An area is to be cleared for shots of an ambulance to be captured.
In the last series of The Fall the audience was left wondering if Paul Spector would survive being shot by the police and you'll have to wait until March to find out exactly what happens next.
Last pictured in DSI Gibson's arms, it doesn't look hopeful for the perverted predator and with the police chief shouting, 'We're losing him, we're losing him'.
A source said: "The tension at the end of the last series was palpaple. People wanted Spector to die, others wanted him to live and face justice. So what's the story? Well let's just say there's been a TV serial killer on site at Orangefield High School from 10am twice already this week.
"Work at the school has been going on for about three weeks to get the set ready and now the cast and crew are in place. These are early scenes. Spector arrives in an ambulance to be rushed into an emergency department and needs surgery for a gunshot wound.
"So the question is, does he live or does he die? Well you know what they say, when the NHS works, it works really well so I think he'll live to see an other day."
The Fall Series 3 is due to be screened in March 2016.
