From YVR Shoots
Ready for more Fifty Shades in Vancouver? Look for Seattle-billionaire-with-singular-tastes Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan)  and the-girl-who-said-No Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) around town early next year. Sequels Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Free are expected to film in metro Vancouver for five months next year from early February to mid-July.

Fifty Shades of Grey, the first film in trilogy grossed more than half a billion worldwide on an estimated budget of $40 million. James Foley will direct the back-to-back productions based on scripts by Niall Leonard, husband to the erotic trilogy’s author E.L. James.

Filming is expected to start February 9th and wrap July 12th next year (dates subject to change) according to today’s Directors Guild of Canada-BC list. Production code is Further Adventures of Max and Banks 2 & 3.

Fifty Shades Darker will be in theatres on February 10, 2017 and Fifty Shades Freed opens a year later on  February 9, 2018.
