'The Fall' Season 3 Will Be Final Season of the Show + New Cast Members

Brace yourselves, Dornan addicts - BBC Two has confirmed that The Fall is coming to an end, as filming begins on the final series.

Jamie Dornan will reprise his role as terrifying Paul Spector, opposite Gillian Anderson as his nemesis DS Stella Gibson.

Good news for Colin Morgan too, as his DS Tom Anderson will also appear in the third series - now shooting in Belfast.

Series two of the BAFTA-nominated thriller - aired in 2014 - ended on a cliffhanger climax, with both Spector and Anderson badly wounded by a rogue gunman.

Joining Dornan, Anderson and Morgan for the final five episodes are new cast-members Ruth Bradley (Humans), Richard Coyle (Crossbones), Aisling Bea (Trollied), Krister Henriksson (Wallander) and Aidan McArdle (Mr Selfridge).

Series regulars John Lynch (Jim Burns), Valene Kane (Rose Stagg), Emmett J Scanlan (Glenn Martin), Stuart Graham (Matt Eastwood), Bronagh Waugh (Sally Ann Spector) and Aisling Franciosi (Katie Benedetto) are also set to return.

Series creator and writer Allan Cubitt said: "I've been on a very exciting journey over the last five years with Stella Gibson and Paul Spector - the central characters of The Fall - and I'm thrilled to have recently started filming the third instalment of their macabre, obsessive dance of death.

"Gillian and Jamie have lived and breathed those characters during that time and I've been incredibly well-served as both writer and director by their stellar performances.

"Obviously I don't want to give anything away about how the third series will end but I can say that I am looking forward to working with both Gillian and Jamie again in the near future!"

  1. I just don't see how production is going to start anytime soon on the 50 shades sequels.. he has to finish the FALL before he can shave and grow his hair a little bit. the new baby is coming and he wants time off... and Dakota is making films right now herself. just cannot see it happening soon
