Aoibhin Garrihy Talks About Jamie
Aoibhin Garrihy has opened up on working with A-list actor Jamie Dornan and admitted he was “very endearing”.
The Fair City actress starred alongside the Fifty Shades of Grey actor in the hit BBC series The Fall where Jamie plays serial killer Paul Spectre.
Although they didn’t spend too much time together, Aoibhin was very impressed with the Co. Down native.
“He was a lovely guy, I shot a few scenes with him, but we didn’t really get to know each other that well,” she told Sunday World’s Magazine +.
“He’s very endearing, a very nice guy. Unassuming. Doesn’t realise the effect he has when he walks into a room.”
However, Aoibhin insisted she has nothing but professional admiration for Jamie and doesn’t fancy him.
“He’s a nice looking lad, he’s very shy,” she said. “I’m not going to get into what I think of Jamie Dornan, he was very nice to work with, that’s it.”

Aoibhin Garrihy Talks About Jamie
Irish actress Aoibhin Garrihy has praised her former co-star Jamie Dornan's work ethic and said the 50 Shades of Grey Star is completely "oblivious" to his sex symbol status.
The former Fair City actress worked with Dornan in The Fall and said the Northern Irish actor was "embarrassed" when he was cast in 50 Shades of Grey.
"He never got the massive hype around 50 Shades of Grey. To him, it was just another part and I guess with that comes an awful lot of pressure. He probably didn't realise what he was getting involved in..."
The Dublin actress said that the 33-year-old former Calvin Klein model has a "star quality" that comes natural to him.
"He is totally unassuming. We were at a train station and there were just people following us as we were doing the scenes just to get a glimpse of him," she told The Daily Star.
"He was completely oblivious to it. He's just one of these people that have that star quality when they walk into a room. He seems like a really shy guy. He's great to work with and hard working as well. He definitely deserves the success that he's got."

Gerard McCarthy Talks About 'The Fall' and Mentions Jamie
Gerard McCarty to BelfastLive: "I haven't been told officially when it's back on, but I have read on a few different websites saying that it was definitely going to be this year.
"I think by the time they finish shooting in April and they get it all cut together maybe it will be October/November time, but I genuinely have no idea.
"I hope it's not during the summer as it's the kind of show when it's dark outside and you're sat in your living room wetting yourself that Jamie Dornan is going to come round and slit your throat and paint your nails for you, it's that kind of show.
"I remember when we were doing the first series and there were people on Facebook saying, come on round Jamie the back door is open, it's hilarious, only in Belfast, we've no shame."

Golfer Luke Donald Mentions Jamie
The last time we spoke was earlier this year at a gala dinner after a tournament in St Andrews in Scotland. Do you ever get tired of attending events or is it a fun part of what you do?
Luke Donald: That side of things is very much part of the job these days. I remember that event in St Andrews being a really fun evening. I missed the cut earlier that day, so I was able to relax and let my hair down a bit, which I don’t normally get to do. I remember seeing [Fifty Shades of Grey] actor Jamie Dornan there. My wife is enamoured with him and was too embarrassed to go and say ‘hello’ so she made me go over. It was funny because as I introduced myself, he said that he had wanted to come over and talk to me, but was too embarrassed! It’s funny how golf has become so popular with celebrities and other athletes, and it’s even stranger when they are in awe of you!

Grainne O'Neill: "Jamie Dornan has millions of fans and they have been so supportive since he posted a photo, with his dad, of him wearing our fundraising purple wristbands. I contacted him through Twitter and he was kind enough to do that for us. It's funny, that's the colour associated with pancreatic cancer awareness raising, and it was mum's favourite colour."
